About this model
The Cosmograph Daytona was introduced in 1963 and named after Daytona Beach, Florida, the birthplace of American motor racing. It has become the most coveted chronograph in the world.
Reference 116523 was the first two-tone Daytona to use Rolex's in-house Calibre 4130, launched in 2000. This example has the white dial with black sub-dials and Arabic numerals, a less common variation.
The Calibre 4130 has around 72 hours of power reserve.
